What is a Tint Meter?
A tint meter is a laboratory instrument used to measure or specify color. A tint meter measures color by comparing it to synthetic pigments. It usually includes a standard light source, colored filters, photocells, and a standard reflective panel. More advanced tint meters use photocells and electronic circuits instead of human eyes as receptors to speed up the measurement results. The results of tint meter detection are called chromaticity, which is a psychophysical sample analysis by imitating human eye and brain perception, that is, its measurement results are related to human perception. It is mainly used to measure the color characteristics of materials, including color, hue, color value, etc.
