Tips:Â How to gauge an oil tank?
To measure the oil in your tank, remove the cap from the fill oil gauging tape and carefully slide the stick in. Keep going until you reach the bottom of the tank. As you thread the tape into the tank, keep it as straight as possible so that you get an accurate measurement. Pull the oil gauging tape out of the tank slowly.
